Phase II of Osgood Canal Greenway & Urban Trail - West Side Development

Purpose

The Town of Burgaw envisions a system of greenways and trails that connect neighborhoods on the west side of town with parks and other destinations; provide active and passive recreational opportunities for all residents; and protect and restore significant natural areas and existing neighborhoods.

Healthy & Engaged Community – We will promote the overall well-being of our residents and visitors with welcoming public spaces and high-quality recreational facilities and cultural activities that fulfill a range of our community’s needs and to work with advisory boards as a means to encourage citizen participation.

Project Description

This project proposes to install multi-use paths, sidewalks, and fitness opportunities through the west side neighborhoods of Burgaw allowing for connection to commerce, schools, healthcare, and government services and connecting into the existing Osgood Canal Greenway & Urban Trail System.
