NCDOT Project R-5701 - NC Highway 53 Intersection Improvements

Purpose

To make improvements to the intersections along NC Hwy 53 through the downtown corridor. 

Project Description

This project proposes to:

• Widen the turning radius at the intersection of E Bridgers St/N Walker St. 
• Widen the turning radius at E Wilmington St/N Walker St.
• Install signal light at Wright St/E Wilmington St intersection.
• Replace signal light at E Wilmington St/N Walker St.
• Perform additional streetscape improvements.
