Garbage & Recycling
Household waste removal including garbage and curbside recycling are provided on a contract basis with Waste Industries. Any missed pick-ups, cart repairs, or other calls for service should be directed to the Customer Service Representative at (910) 259-2151.
Yard Waste & Household Debris
Public Works picks up yard waste and household debris towards the end of the week excluding holidays, weather permitting.

Reporting Missed Trash/Recycling Pickups
Please report a missed trash/recycling as soon as possible on Wednesday afternoon by calling Town Hall (910) 259-2151 or Public Works (910) 259 - 2901. If it is after business hours you can leave a voicemail with your address and what was missed.
Due to trash and recycling being contracted out a request needs to be submitted to GFL no later than 3PM Thursday to guarantee a missed pickup on Friday. Any requests submitted later will be scheduled the following week, no exceptions.
It's imperative that you call as soon as you are aware that your trash and/or recycling is missed for it to be picked up the same week.
