The town manager is the administrative head of the town government and is responsible for the administration of all departments of the town government.
The purpose of this department is to safeguard the public health, safety and general welfare and safety to life and property from fire and other hazards attributed to the building environment and to safeguard from hazards arising from the use of electricity and to provide safety to fire fighters and emergency responders during emergency operations.
The Finance Department is responsible for maintaining and administering the Town’s fiscal operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and accounting procedures required by local, state, and federal laws.
The Burgaw Fire Department is tasked with fire prevention and suppression duties throughout the town limits of Burgaw North Carolina and the Pender Central Fire District.
The Parks and Recreation Department seeks to enhance the quality of lives of the citizens of Burgaw by offering both active and passive recreation opportunities.
The Mission of the Burgaw Police Department is to improve the quality of life by preserving the peace and safety of our community and creating a positive interaction between the public and police while continuing to serve the unique needs of the Burgaw Community.
